I hope everyone's having a wonderful end-of-the-year season and getting however much rest and rejuvenation you need. Between some extended-familial estrangement and my parents making their final break from the whole religion thing (two entirely unrelated events!), we had a quiet, relaxing, secular Christmas chez moi yesterday -- my favorite kind!

Now I'm headed of to Ireland until January 4th (and just realizing that I really should've mentioned this beforehand, and gleaned some travel tips from you all, drat!). I'll probably be able to check email intermittently, since at least one of our hotels has free wifi, hurrah, but won't be around much otherwise. But then: actual & regular reading/responding/posting, for real this time!

Oh, and since I won't be back until after the sga_santa reveals are up (and will be thus slightly delayed in responding to the lovely feedback!), if you want to guess which one I wrote, comment here and I will write you a little something if you're right (and, er, if you want me to). I can't wait to find out who wrote the sweet team-y John/Rodney story Growing Pains for me!

And boy, do I hear you on the intimidating-amount-of-fic thing. I've decided to take the approach of thinking, "Well, even if this clearly-still-robust fandom went absolutely silent tomorrow, I've still got several months' worth of fic-backlog!" Like, oh, all of the bigbangs from this year.

Have you seen the latest episode?
No, I haven't! :( *epic sad-face* It isn't up for watching on the show's website and I, um, usually forget to watch TV when it's on. Plus, I'm fairly certain our TV doesn't actually get TV, but I haven't tried it in a while, so maybe one of my flatmates did something about that? There was previously murmurings that it should be able to do more than play DVDs, but I declared it not-my-problem and I'd split the bill if they did and not if they didn't. :)

Have you seen it? Was it good? (Feel free to spoil me, if you wish.)

Heee, I do the same thing some times! I think I need a way of randomising what fic to read, or something (or maybe find someone(s) who'll rec at me), because otherwise I get overwhelmed by the masterlists. So long! So confusing! So many names! So very lacking summaries!

I can email you links to some other websites it's up on, if you'd like. It was a fun job, having to do with fashion and getting used to the new grifter (happily, we still see Sophie, so I'm less resentful of newbie-who-represents-change than I probably would be, otherwise).

Oh, good, I'm glad Sophie is still around at least somewhat!

I had more Leverage icons at DW when I had a gifted paid account for a few months, but I did keep two Parker ones: http://fish-echo.dreamwidth.org/icons and tv_boyfriends does have a bunch of nice ones. And looking at my icons folders, I evidently also like Leverage icons by girl_in_oslo. If you want pointers, that is. :)
