And yeah, having John be surprised about info conveyed by body language might be a bit of a stretch, though I guess I'd argue that he'd always used and responded to it subconsciously, before, so now this thing he kind of knew already (body language = lots of information) becomes very apparent in its absence. (. . . Also, I needed a segue for those paragraphs. *g*)
